Artificial Intelligence of the Polish Economy

About the report:

Polityka Insight and Dentons law firm report describing examples of artificial intelligence (AI) applications. It presents specific case studies of Polish companies that develop advanced products and services using AI. The report shows what positive changes in companies are possible thanks to new technologies. Moreover, it covers what transformations the Polish economy could undergo if a stronger emphasis is placed on the implementation of AI solutions. The report also summarises the legislative challenges related to artificial intelligence.

Kluczowe wnioski:

  • Artificial intelligence has a huge impact on the economy and ways of doing business, including through a more efficient allocation of the workforce, increasing employee productivity or reducing the cost of capital accumulation.
  • Compared to Western European countries, Poland is lagging behind in the implementation and application of new technologies, especially artificial intelligence. It is estimated that only 10 per cent of Polish enterprises use it.
  • To facilitate the digital development for Polish companies, legislative changes should be introduced, including:
    • limiting the scope of ePrivacy,
    • separating the scopes of the GDPR and the ePrivacy Regulation,
    • excluding M2M communications from regulations where there is no threat to the protection of the privacy of individuals.

The report is also available in the Polish version.
